How can I learn Spanish?
AussieGIRL♥ asked:
They don’t teach Spanish at my school,
so I’m planning to learn it home or elsewhere.
But how can I?
I need to know a language because I want to be an international flight attendant when I’m older.
I’m choosing Spanish because I like the Language.
Are tutors expensive? Is there a free online spanish course or something?
Please help.
I’m 15 by the way.
mums not letting me buy that resotta stone program. she doesn’t even care that I want to learn spanish. shes being a cow about it

The easiest way I have found with learning a foreign language is to start with words that you use most common. Learn words that are functional and will use at least twice a day, such as drink, food, bathroom, mother, father, school, pants, shirt, hat, etc. Start with a set of nouns first then add a few verbs to your vocabulary. Learn the verbs: want, walk, help, more (I know it isn’t a verb), learn, read, etc. This way, you could start forming phrases (want drink, want pants). After you have a set of functional verbs and nouns, make a list of adjectives that you use daily. Again, use the adjectives together with the verbs and nouns that you know.
With starting a foreign language it’s easy to get overwhelmed and to start learning from a book … I found that it’s best to learn words that will be meaningful to you so they are easier to remember. Once you have learned the adjectives, nouns, and verbs that you use daily, start adding some professional words/phrases that you’d need. Airplane, pilot, temperature, etc. Hope this helps.

Spanish is the most widely-spoken languages in the world. Many countries in Central and South America speak it. In addition, some languages are similar to it (Portuguese, Filipino), so you definitely made the right choice.
One thing you can do is go to a local Spanish Center (If you live in a big city, there’s usually one. Just Google it.) where they normally have Spanish classes. There are some downloadable online courses too. For conversational Spanish, many language sets are available in bookstores: they come in a pack (Berlitz is a good brand). They have a textbook, a workbook, and a dictionary, in addition to CDs you can practice with.
Good luck!

You could get an at home computer course such as rosetta stone. Or just get a dictionary with a complete grammar guide and learn from that(that’s the harder way but it’s how I started)
also once you have a basic understanding It will help a lot to watch spanish tv channels and listen to spanish music.
the best way to learn is to visit a spanish speaking country for a few months.
good luck!
Learn Spanish Easily
The best way is to take a class where the physical presence of a teacher can be a great help to answer your questions. Private tutors can be expensive depending on where you live they can run approx $20-$60. per hour. Check into evening Adult Continuing Education classes at a local High School. They usually teach spanish and it may be more affordable for you.
As far as online courses, there are plenty, both free and at cost. You have to check them out and see what method is being used and which one you find more appropriate for you learning style. Just google “spanish language classes” you’ll get an extensive sites list.
Buena suerte (good luck)
Learn To Speak Spanish Online
To study Spanish academically, you would probably have to pay for a tutor or a software/online course/book/etc.
Teaching yourself to speak and understand Spanish rather than write or read it is a little easier. All you have to do is “immerse” yourself in Spanish. You can do this in lots of ways:
-Watching movies/television in Spanish (Get one of your favorite movies on DVD and switch the language to Spanish. You can even watch it with the sound in Spanish and the subtitles in English, or vice versa) I recommend telenovelas (soap operas in Spanish) because they’re very amusing to watch and usually pretty easy to understand.
-Listening to Spanish radio and podcasts (Radio announcers talk very fast, so this might not be the best way, but there is a great podcast site you can go to )
-Talking to others in Spanish or listening to conversations (This would be harder to do if you don’t know anyone who speaks Spanish, but podcasts are a good substitute. Try going to a part of town/grocery store/market/youth center/etc. where many people are speaking Spanish)
-Listening to Spanish books on tape/reading a Spanish translation of one of your favorite books (use the first one for improving listening skills, second one for improving reading skills)
-Traveling to a Spanish-speaking country (Obviously this is expensive, but if you or your family is already going to a Spanish-speaking country, try to listen to people talking, read menus and road signs, use Spanish as much as possible, etc.)
You can get materials for learning Spanish from a public library. Some libraries even have books in Spanish, but they probably won’t be books you’ve read before.
If you do decide to get a tutor, use all of the above methods to speed up your learning and strengthen your abilities.
