I dunno.. I took Spanish in college twice… got a good grade both times… still can’t speak it!!… but then.. when I go home there is nobody in my regular day-to-day activities that requires me to speak Spanish…

okay, ive been doing alot of the legwork because ive been wanting to become proficent, hablo un poco espanol, tengo 4 anos en escuela pero no tengo amigos que hablan espanol y you deseo hablo espanol. any ways, I found a site that can help, it’ll be easier for you if you have some background in the language also, a technique i use (it goes along with speak, speak, speak) I try to think my english conversations out in spanish, it can be confusing at times and at other times its just impossible but if you think about conversations you had and translate it’ll help with the conversation end, and like some people mentioned, you have a beyond valuable tool: tus amigos que hablan espanol!

also i forgot to mention, even though the person who mentioned dora and diego was probably joking, immersion is the best way to learn, listen to the spanish radio and tv channels, they may talk to fast for you at first but you’ll start to catch words and eventually sentences etc.
