after learning 3-4 languages, it’s getting easy to learn the next one. allways learn one at the time, or at least not sound-a-like languages.
the question is, R U able to learn and not forget?
because, without practice all your hard work is gone in less than 6 months! and at the end, U might understand some of each, but don’t even know to answer an easy question, especially with similar languages.
important is, why do you want 2 learn?
if travell, it might help.
2 be a translator? than focus on 2, maybe 3, but not more!
just for fun, or hobby? than do as U feel U enjoy the most!

i’ve tried it and it never worked 4 me. Just be patient with yourself and learn 1 language at a time to gain maximum proficiency. Usually when i try to overload my self with too much like that, i get fed up and quit. There is always enough time to learn as many as you want. Patience is an integral part of acquiring a new language. Good luck!!

And, by fluent, he meant that he could even think in those languages. He had several advantages. At a young age he was already fluent in several languages because of his family and living arrangements. He then graduated from the school of oriental languages at the age of 14.

He made the study of languages both his occupation and advocation and maintained that he studied foreign languages a minimun of 4 hours every day after his work which was language translation. This speaks to your question about how many languages our brain can retain. Learning and retaining what we learn are two different things. Continual usage and study are necessary to retain and reinforce what we learn.

Well i was born in Canada and i speak and read and wright three language and i’m 13 . I know English, Polish,and French!

yes it’s difficult but fun learning i have an amazing french teacher and known polish and english my whole life so yeah!!!

i wouldn’t… i would master one language, then move to the others. wouldn’t you rather know two fluently than bits of four?
