Youth looking for a scholarship/grant for summer study abroad?

Fay asked:

Does anyone know of some good scholarships/grants available to high school seniors to participate in summer travel programs? I come from a very low income background, therefore could never afford to leave the US.

I have over 500 hours of volunteer service and a very good academic standing. I would preferably love to travel to learn Spanish. However, I would go anywhere abroad to learn/experience.

What’s the most efficient way to learn a new language?

Missy asked:

I’m trying to learn Spanish. I’m over half way done with the Rosetta Stone program and have done a lot of the content on studyspanish.com, but my Spanish is still super lousy. Using Free Online resources, how can I obtain fluency?

Effective Language Learning Program For Kids?

Drew asked:

I’ve seen similar questions previously. I realize I can get things cheap(er) on E-bay. But I’m looking for specific programs that are known to be effective for teaching children languages, while still being fairly affordable. Spanish is my main concern since we live in Florida(and because we can branch other languages that are similar from it).

So what programs are effective yet cheap?

Also, any other suggestions for teaching a foreing language to a child while not being able to speak to that child in the language on a regular basis(since I don’t speak spanish)?
I’m familiar with Rosetta Stone; I was thinking more kids oriented along the lines of Muzzy or something? So no one has used any and have found them successful?
